Brene Brown said it best, when after her many years of researching Connection she concluded that “Connection is why we are here. It is what gives purpose and meaning to our lives.” At a moment in time when our meaning of life might be called into question, our connection to one another and our love for each other feels vital for our healing. In each other, our pain can be shared, so we don’t have to carry the weight of it in our chest. In each other, our laughter can heal the broken heart, even just for a moment but connecting those moments is how we piece together a life of delight and wonder. In each other, we can rest and allow the business of our day to dissolve in the hands of those who care for us, so we can mourn and grieve and embrace the ones close. In each other, we can take the stretched out hand who will save us before we sink into the darkness of despair, for it will call; over and over again.
It will be laughter of a child, the wild humor of your best friend, the kindness of your neighbor and the tenderness of your family that will stitch together the life we keep calling our own. And, we must call our life into being. Over and over again. ~ Lyn G
