I first discovered yoga in middle school due to a very progressive and “cool” history teacher. I then rediscovered yoga in late high school and traveled to India in college and experienced practicing yoga in an ashram. Yoga not only makes me happy but it has become my “therapy” and teaching yoga has been a way to weave my passion for practicing and teaching others to live a holistic and balanced life.
I became a yoga teacher because I fell in love with the practice and enjoyed learning yoga from countless incredible people who have helped shape my yoga path and journey. I discovered SYJ due to living in South Norwalk and have practiced at “the joint” for 4 years before starting to teach here! Needless to say this felt awesome!
In my classes I enjoy creating a playful atmosphere where no one takes themselves to seriously. I try to focus on alignment and soulful flows that will leave you sweaty and peaceful. Also- my playlists are filled with music to get you out of your head and on your mat.
Outside of teaching yoga I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Wellness advocate. I opened up a wellness company / private practice in South Norwalk where I work with people on self-love and self esteem. I enjoy teaching classes that are playful and full of light and love. I enjoy meeting clients where they are and working through postures to inspire and combat self-doubt.
