Ten years ago, I took my first step onto a yoga mat at the encouragement of my parents. My
goal, at the time, was to simply stretch out some sore, overused muscles after a season away as a
sailor on the Maine coast. Since then, my mat has evolved into so much more. It has become my
touchstone, my place of self-discovery, and my location of healing. It was on my mat that I felt
drawn towards taking another step on my yoga journey. In 2016, I took that step and completed
my 200-hour yoga teacher certification at Saraswati’s Yoga Joint, guided by the very talented
and knowledgeable Donna Jackson, Liz Lowe, and Erin Thorkilsen.
You will find my classes to be sweet and soulful, filled with both strengthening, energizing
sequences as well as softening, reflective moments. Thoughtful alignment is always central to
my teaching and and is provided in efforts to guide you closer to your home, your heart, your
practice. My intention is for you to leave class feeling a little more grounded, a little more
grateful, and a little more connected to your true self.
I draw inspiration for my classes from books, poetry, and stories as well as from the wisdom I’ve
gained by living and traveling abroad, being an educator, and most importantly, as a mom to a
sweet, beautiful little girl.
I look forward to meeting you on your mat!
